Creating a resource centre and networking space for migrants and other activists

London Catholic Worker (LCW) have been given use of a house and church in Manor House for 2 years and aim to create a nightshelter for migrants without recourse to public funds. The space will be available during the day and could provide a great location for a resource centre. LCW are spending time cleaning and decorating to prepare the space and are in need of hands skilled and unskilled to help.

On Saturday 24th July between 10am-4pm there will be a work day which will be a chance to meet those involved and see the space . You need to go to the house which is next door to the church - 49 Mattison Rd, Manor House, N4 1DG. If you want to go on another day they are working there most days - email londoncatholicworker@yahoo.co.uk to arrange.

On Sunday 25th July at 2pm there will be a meeting to discuss how we can use the space during the day to meet and network, share resources and organise campaigns, as well as being a clearing house for legal and other info needed by people involved in the immigration system. This meeting will take place at LARC, 62 Fieldgate Street, Whitechapel, E1 1ES.
