Openspace was a space for refugees, activists, local people and everyone fighting immigration controls to meet, talk, organise campaigns and create a sense of community.
From the original callout:
"We can help with providing information about where you can get help with immigration matters. Drop in for a cup of tea or coffee!
Refugees signing on at the local immigration reporting centre, Communications House, are invited to visit before and after
signing to leave details of their friends, family members or solicitor
to be contacted in case they are detained while signing on.
Together we are stronger! Get involved!"
Openspace is now closed
