Protest against Arora's detention plan

Six activists from No Borders London today (06 Oct 2009) held a protest at the Arora International Hotel near Heathrow airport against Arora International's plans to turn its four-star hotel at Gatwick, Mercure, into yet another immigration prison.

Demonstration at Crawley Bus Company

A demonstration was held today (30th June) at WH Tours bus company in Crawley, in protest at its involvement in the deportation of dozens of migrants to Nigeria via a charter flight.

Demonstrators entered the car park at the premises carrying banners, but WH Tours employees claimed that the bus carrying those to be deported had just left.

Employees at WH Tours confirmed that the company is indeed involved with the UK Borders agency in assisting with mass expulsions.

Ken Loach & NoBorders in Crawley Tuesday 27th September

On Tuesday 27th November, renowned filmmaker Ken Loach (The Wind That Shakes The Barley, Sweet Sixteen, Kes) is coming to Crawley to show and talk about his new
film "It's a Free World...". This film is a drama about a single mother and depicts the reality of living and working in the UK as a so-called illegal immigrant.

Ken will be joined in a post-film discussion by a former Tinsley House detainee and refused asylum seeker from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and an activist from the No Border network, which organised the protest camp near Crawley in September.
