On 25th November 1993, two minibuses brought the first detainees from Harmondsworth, Heathrow, to Campsfield, near Oxford. Demonstrators at the gate protested.

Mass deportations, Mass resistance - public forum

A public forum to build resistance against mass deportations organised by Stop Deportation.

Saturday, 7th November 2009, 12-5pm @ the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London.

Mass deportation flights are a new and urgent challenge to all those working for the right to freedom of movement for all. Many deportees have tried to stop or escape from these flights, some even self-harming in desperation. Outside, protests and actions are being organised in the UK, Europe and the destination countries. More are needed!

Arora Hotel Conversion: Protest at Crawley Council Meeting, December 7th!

On 7th December London NoBorders is calling for a protest outside Crawley Town Hall (The Boulevard, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 1UZ) to protest Arora International's plans to turn its four-star hotel at Gatwick, Mercure, into yet another immigration prison.

On that day Crawley Council will discuss the planning permission. People who want to raise questions in the Council Meeting can register beforehand.

Judge: Colnbrook blockaders' arrest was unlawful

A magistrates judge has ruled that police acted unlawfully when arresting six anti-deportation campaigners who were blockading Colnbrook detention centre, near Heathrow airport, on 12th May, 2009, to try and prevent Iraqi refugees from being forcibly deported to Iraqi Kurdistan on a specially chartered flight.[1]
